  • A light cast of brick color in this otherwise ruby colored wine. Aromas of red and black licorice! Rich, smooth, like velvet but with excellent acid backing for the lush fruit, predominantly cherries and fennel with a hint of toffee. Medium to full bodied, this is drinking very well now and it will last a few years if properly cellared, but why wait? Due to the lush fruit and the clean acidity this would be excellent with lamb. This bottle was shipped directly from Burgundy last month. -JBL
