Caravanned 2 glasses, allowed to sit for 40 mins. Blue fruit right out of the bottle, leaving fine gritty sediment on the glasses. Pencil lead, saddle leather, sweet blue fruit. While initial tastes resembled a blueberry syrup, both the consistency thinned out and became softer as time passed. Shows its Oz characteristics, but time is beginning to tame this bottle and I suspect a brief decant is all that it needs. Might last another 3-5 years, hasn't yet peaked.
Had this around 8 years after the last bottle. This is drinking very well. Large scaled but with excellent balance. Deep dark fruits on nose and palate, mediums tannins and nice acidity provide nice structure. While very tasty, this lacks the complexity for a great score.
Drank this over the course of four to five days. Rich with prominent notes of blackberry, chocolate, and oak. Nice smoky, bbq element as well. This has a good tannic backbone and seems likely to live for at least another 5 years, but is drinking very nicely at the moment.
