  • Very thick, heavy cherry aroma, but not too much depth of elegance on the nose. Very rich and large on the palate, with intense structure still dominant. The acid on the palate is very vibrant and rips in a beautiful way and balances some of the intensity of the tannins, which are also present. Really beautiful integration of the structural elements, and there is still some fruit poking through as well. The best part of the palate is the acidity, though. This spicy acidity carries into the tart finish, but there's also quite a bit of alcohol that was noted on all sips throughout the night that got in the way of the enjoyment for me. A fine wine, but not to the heights this can be in the best vintages. Just felt a bit two left footed for the producer.

  • Give it a nice 3 hour decant. Nice bottle. Smooth silky balanced.

  • Might be one of those you open cork and leave overnight. Nice essence but tannic roughness on the finish. Hold or give a proper decant before consuming.

  • Loads of fruit still present, 2 hr bottle decant only, tannins nicely integrated, beautiful mouthfeel, wonderful wine.
