Medium gold color. Aromas of dried apricots, pinneaple, melon, raisins, honey. Intense taste of raisins, bitter oranges, ginger. Full bodied, high acidity. Very good sugar level, not cloying.

The Travellers Club, London (The Travellers Club, London): Frankly not a full (or Proper) TN here as it arrived at the end of a very long wine flight to tired palates ( and minds) . Bright and energetic of memory and with a well balance feel. It felt like a 92 maybe more.

The Four Seasons Tasting 2005 Bordeaux Second Growth (Aubergine Restaurant): A wonderful enticing lifted nose with complex botrytis notes of orange marmalade, orange blossom, candied lemons and cracknell (hardened caramelised sugar). A rich, decidedly sweet entry that is offset by a warming alcohol and a crisp acidity to make for a well-balanced Sauternes. Full-bodied but not too fat, the wine works a treat with the acid, adding freshness. Closes with more orange and lime marmalade. Long, persistent finish.

Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (Eagle Brook CC): A half bottle. Youthful yellow color. Loads of pineapple on the nose and palate. Hints of botrytis spice and stone fruit underneath. A steal at the $9/375ml price I paid for these a few years ago. 90+ pts.
