  • decanted for 30 minutes. the palate is beautifull and super soft. the palate a base of plum with cherry, caramel, espresso, leather, earth with a dark minerality. lots of different nuances peaking through. the nose is a bit weaker and has a light mineral cherry. the finish is smooth a fairly long, around 30 seconds or more. not a hint of heat. seemed to reach it's peak at about 90 minutes of air and showed no decline in the glass. this wine seems like it is holding at its peak, although i don't know how long it can hold on. nose-90, palate-96, finish-91

  • It was brought to a company dinner and decanted for more 1+ hours before serving. Deep ruby red with nice rims, still not showing its aged (or maybe the light is dim). It has a bouquet of leather, mushroom, cassis and subtle oak. Smooth, soft and elegant on palate, with cassis and earthy character. It is a wine with finesse, medium bodied with fine grain tannins and long finishing. Well liked by my dining partners. Drink now.
