This once-brawny wine has matured into a very nice Roussilon. Dark ruby/purple with a hint of lightening at the rim. Medium body, smooth rich and pleasing dark berry flavors with a whiff of smoke. Noticeable but fine tannins. Perfect with smoked leg of lamb.

Nice Syrah plus a bit of Grenache and Carignan. 10% of the wine was matured in oak cask. the rest was matured in concrete tanks. Nice blackberry aromas, with a smokey touch. Sweet spices from Syrah. Good wine!

Black fruit, chalky minerality, even some light prunes. Dark garnet color. Smooth with a slight acidity. Nice finish. Still, I prefer the Chapoutier Occultum Lapidum to this

young...dark...a bit dead then tart...only gave 20-25 mins of air...and it's changing. Not a pop and pour...not overly complex at this tasting.
