Deep, inky ruby wine with medium intensity nose of black fruit, leather, and earth. Spicy notes of black pepper and cardamom. Drinkable now but the med+ tannins and med acidity will support holding on to this wine for 3-5 more years.

Nose is very typical of Pesquera - animal notes with mild spices and medium intensity red berries. Not very complex, the wine is well made but not exiting. Didn't even finish the bottle...less alcohol would be appreciated. More acidity would help balance the wine.

Black as coal, toasted, oaky, toffee and vanilla nose. Not unpleasant. On the palate it burns, oily firewater. More spirit than wine. Unbalanced. Short dry and hot finish. Perhaps time will allow the oak to integrate but what about the alcohol? Right now this is a terrible wine. Having enjoyed this bodega's wines for so many years it's sad to see it produce a wine as unbalanced as this. Less oak, less alcohol would make this more drinkable and enjoyable.
