Pours brick-garnet with a clear, rusty rim. PnP - very muted, with just earthy underbrush and some tart cherry. An hour in the decanter gives up cigar box, sage, leather, soubois, tobacco leaf, tart cherry, and some nutmeg. Peak drinking.

Big ol’ fruit bomb of a Haut-Medoc. Thankfully, it doesn’t have the oak signature to match. Rich cassis and blackberry jam, cigar, a little heat. Better than expected, if nothing special, and currently at peak.

I’m a sucker for wines with 10-15 years of age so who knows how good this really is. BUT it drinks deliciously. You can tell this was a bit of a high octane fruit bomb at bottling. Palate showing lower acid but enough to give it life. Cassis, black licorice, cigar, slight fig. Definitely into the tertiary stage.

Coravin-ed, first few minutes it was HOT but opened up nicely after sitting in the glass for 30 min. Phenomenal value for $12 from lastbottle

Had it for Shabbat dinner after horrible week in Israel. Didnt like it at all. Had a bit of a plastic flavor that I couldn’t get over. Bad bottle?
Reminds me of the 2014 livera burgundy after taste.
