Wow! Fruity with citrus, crisp as a starched shirt and a bold aromatic bouquet. An intense white that makes your mouth water. High acidity and dry. Pairs well with almost everything.

Tasted April 2015. Cost £9.74 at Majestic UK if you bought two. This is the 'Awatere' label, not the Dashwood. I liked this very much: big and round, good power, lotsa lush quality ripe fruit but without that annoying grassy/green Marlborough edge (the Awatere Valley ain't a million miles away from Marlborough proper over the Wither Hills; it just seems to produce obviously different Sav Blancs, esp from the much-hyped 2013 NZ vintage). Not particularly dry, but it is still young enough to have some balancing acidity lilting at the end. I have several bottles more, but won't be keeping them much beyond another 12-18 months: drink 'em young and alive! (Alright, maybe keep one bot for, say, another 3 yrs, just to see if it develops some nice wet-wool weirdo Sav Blanc wiffies.) Value-for-Money? I'll say! This is classy Sav Blanc for less than a tenner.

Much stronger vegatal influence on day 1 than I expected. Mellowed nicely by day 2 and was a crisp clean SB.
