Nice relatively light C9dP, a 100% Grenache: cherry, licorice, blackberry, red fruit, plum, touch of cedar, no heat, medium minus body, nice long spicy finish.

Highly recommend. Opened in bottle about 4 hours before consumption which worked or do a 1-2 hour decant. Drink or hold - in a mature drinking window now but with proper cellaring has an easy decade+ to go with some further upside possible. A reasonable but not great QPR wine at both our acquisition price and the avg CT price. Paired superbly with brisket at a brisket cook off. Reddish purple, no bricking, soft mouthfeel, fruit forward with a surprising amount of red fruit and berry present, medium - full bodied, nicely balanced, oak and tannins present but integrating and nice long aftertaste. Nose aromatic with kirsch, raspberry, kitchen spices and a hint of black pepper. Flavor profile of dark cherry, I think both strawberry and raspberry are detectable with an earthier darker finish of leather, blueberry and smoke. A lovely lighter CDP.

Decanted for ca. 2 hours, enjoyed with a sirloin steak of lamb on our wedding anniversary evening.
This is a very gentle, delicate and Burgundian type of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is quite fruity, revealing delicious notes of ripe red berries and herbs. It is soft and pleasant on the palate, but is also having a firm and proper structure. All in all, I enjoyed this wine a lot, and it is in an excellent shape right at the moment.
