  • Like the last bottle, high acidity gives this a very shrill impression. Leaving overnight, the body gains weight which serves to balance the slightly tamed acidity and makes it more enjoyable but still not anything remarkable.

  • Pop 'n pour, consumed over 2 evenings. Nothing really stood out on the nose for me - kind of nondescript. On the palate, some nice savory fruit, medium-bodied (I wouldn't call it thin at all like a previous note suggests), with a prominent acidic tartness that throws the balance way out of whack. On the second evening, the palate filled out a bit more with some pleasant flavors, gaining some weight, and the acidity tamed down just a bit, but was still sticking out. Overall, an interesting red that was difficult to fully enjoy due to imbalanced acidity.

  • The nose was alpine in it's profile, showing fresh blackberry, hints of cedar, cracked pepper, herbs, and mineral tones. On the palate, I found bitter blackberry fruit with a hint of orange peel. Brisk acidity first dried out the senses, yet made them water throughout the finish, while black fruit clung to the cheeks and gums. It's not a bad wine, but it's also not a crowd pleaser in any way. With food, it does it's job, but on it's own, it can be a task.

  • This continues to improve. Will it ever be great? Probably not, but it is starting to develop complexity, on the nose especially. With air, some really nice earth and tobacco notes were evident. Still a little thin on the palate, but good with food.

  • sur dolcetto med ren og ærlig duft av sure kirsebær. Frisk og leskende, men litt ubalansert. Servert til brissel. Vin med fine mategenskaper, men ikke så mye mer enn det.
