Ce vin possède une bouche un peu charpentée sur une ossature légèrement frêle. Il en donne quand même beaucoup au nez et en bouche pour un vin de ce rang. Frais et fruité. 87 sur 100.

121 BC Saturday tasting (121 BC, Sydney): Black plum, dense, tarry, thick nose, slight oxidised, slight briny notes and touches of crushed rock. In the mouth the wine is juicy with mouth watering acidity plummy fruit slight spice then thick chewy tannins but the fruit is a little sort. Quite savoury with a touch of salinity. Okay

continuing my newsish exploration of Aglianico, aromatics here unusual/not unpleasant, hard to pin down but seemed like odder stuff blew off with time, the first approach is lots of fruit and suggestive of residual sugar, this backgrounds as I went on, the fruit is interesting enough, but predominantly riper/richer fruit until a boatload of drying tannins come in on finish, pair it with richer/fattier foods (tea-smoked duck and fatty pork shoulder) and the tannins disappear and the wine is incredible moreish, overall seemed a bit ripe and rich for what I typically prefer, lower acid than I'd expect, and besides the nose, not sure I got much indication of volcanic soil in the personality of this wine, still learning! another great step along the way

Really meaty and chewy, perhaps a little rubbery, with some herbal notes too, like oregano maybe, and there's some incipient blood and hi-tone underneath the chewiness of youth.
