The 2011 was 100% Malbec, the 2012 is 60% Malbec, 40% Cab Franc, not a change for the better. Very bland, flat wine. Drink now, unlikely to get better.

Restaurant purchase, decanted prior to and during dinner at the local Brazilian steakhouse. I had enjoyed the 2009 vintage of this and enjoyed this in spite of some lack of concentration. The wine was approachable, balanced, and provided a smooth mouthfeel. Displays mostly red fruits of brambly red berries, some spicy cherries, and some red earth tones. Slightly diluted on the finish, probably a reflection of a wet harvest.

Tasted non-blind in a curated lineup of 20 wines at a wine bar. Wine #11. Very hot nose with some floral, cherries and cranberries. Similar palate. Medium minus length finish that ends with cranberries.

It's alright, very spicy. Better after a few hours of being open.
