Thought this was sensational…..the aromatics are riveting, one of those experiences from the first whiff you can’t get your nose out of the glass and I would have been fine just smelling this all night. The flavors are excellent, typical savory Roumier mix of dark red berries and minerals in an energetic and refined presentation. The structure at this stage is complementary and not interfering with the finish, I think this is its peak plateau of drinking

1st of 6, decanted an hour, perfect cork and level - reasonably transparent dark ruby, little development; black cherry, some meat, mineral, earth, classy, pure and quite complex; fullish, round, long, persistent, reasonably concentrated, fine balance and drive, quite elegant, fresh and young, upside, 25+ years. At least F+ (18).

Exceptional wine, just superb. So fresh and clean, perfect color, balance, and aromatics. I agree with the comment below, this is indeed a reference level Burgundy for me.

Reference level burgundy with gorgeous dark fruits, meat. Paired very well with the final three pieces of tuna at Sushi Noz. Great nose, structure, and drinking really well right now

Decanted. More accessible than the last bottle. Purple fruit tamed somewhat, meaty, spicy, bursting out with a cool core balanced with perfectly ripe fruit. Chambolle elegance on full display. Acidity is chewy and dimensional; great wine. 94-95
