Lovely, did not require decanting, full, rounded, but spicy and well seasoned versus plushly fruity, balanced tannins,. We opened a bottle for cheese course for four and expected to have half a bottle left and, whoops, as if we'd been waiting for a treat, it was all gone. It (obviously) did pair well with the cheese (a triple cream delice, a corsican hard cheese, and a langres)!

Tasted blind. Clear medium (+) ruby. The nose is clean and has classic aromas of black cherry, red currant and some earthiness. The palate is dry, with medium to medium (+) acidity, alcohol (14.3%) and tannins. The palate is consistent with the nose. This is well-balanced and approachable, despite its youth, with medium flavor intensity and a medium (-) finish. It is a little lighter than what I would have expected and at first I thought it might have some Merlot or Cab Franc in it. Overall, this is a very good value.

Very nice cab. Medium tanins, not to dry, black cherries and vanilla.
Paired with a New York strip, rosemary redskins and fresh broccoli.
