From our cellar. Decanted. Extremely dark purple-burgundy in color. Aromas of plum and violets. Full bodied, super dense and concentrated flavors of dark cherry, blackberries, plums, earthy spices, tobacco, vanilla, oak. Tannins refined. Good acidity. Nice structure and balance. 14% alcohol. Excellent now but still seems to have plenty of life left.

Full and rich garnet colour w amazing hints of deep berry, leathery tobacco, almond, mushroom, black currant (cassis), sandalwood and nutmeg. A lovely blend of rich tannins, perfect balance of sweet rich fruits meet sophisticated flavours. Smoked perfectly for a higher standard of bold red tastes. Medium legs and long finish. Perfect timing w steak and sweet potato

Nice, a bit thin. But that judgement is partly due to it's company. I had this, and a 2008 Colgin Syrah, with an Italian dinner of Chicken/Tomato/Pasta. The Colgin was superb (at $200) so the supertuscan (at $40) didnt really have a shot. In any case, the tuscan was quaffable.
TLDR: drinkable, not too memorable.

Drink now. Color is good. Tannins have smoothed out. Nice berry fruit. Tertiary flavors are present.

Very nice super tuscan. I am beginning to realize that with few exceptions, it is the super tuscan italian reds that I like.
