Med cherry/ruby, nice PN nose of cherry, just-ripe strawberries, spices - nicely balanced, fine, excellent acid, palate delivers pure red fruit - cherry, currant, pom, raspberry - but in a vinous way - v nice, especially for a 2nd wine - med bodied w a nice long, subtle finish, with an earthy twang - Yum!

Can't argue with anything in the TN posted by Cave D'Argent...except it appears that I value such a wine a bit higher. For me, this is one of the finest New World Pinots I've tried (I've tried a ton of US examples, but only 30 or so New Zealand ones before...this one tops them all for me). It definitely leans hard towards Burgundy with a wonderful reserve, low alcohol, and marvelous earthy and beetroot complexity floating the delicious and mouthwatering crunchy red fruit. I could have been fooled into thinking this was 2010 Drouhin Clos des Mouches...and this is a third the price...

Done in a somewhat light but very expressive style, this medium ruby wine offers intense aromas of dried cherries, strawberries, lavender and earth. Light-to-medium-bodied, fresh, softly tannic and seamlessly alcoholic (12.9%), it follows with cranberry, coriander and earth on the palate. Solid in the middle and concluding with medium length, this is a Pinot more than worthy of its sticker price. It should be at its best over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2018.
