Medium crimson in color, this wine showed forest floor, mushroom, dust and black currant on the nose. The mouth feel was light/medium bodied and showed more forest floor. The finish was short and a little harsh with the acidity coming and going on the palate.
Purchased for $15US, this wine somewhat disappointed as it didn't provide the upfront fruit as expected. Funk is good but it needs fruit to go with it. Our least favorite wine tonight with Thanksgiving dinner.

- Ruby color and aromas of dusty, moldy, black currant and raisin and has flavours of black currant, blackberry and strawberry - Surprised how much I liked this. Only picked it up to fill out a case, but it has turned out to be a good QPR daily drinker.
Particularly liked that it presented a very pleasant, classic pinot 'funk' on the nose.

Warm, and inviting. A wine that features some of the finer qualities of the varietal. Very good acid, and pleasant austerity at the back. Wholly agreeable.

Subtle nose, muted fruit. Middle of the road, overwhelmed by most food choices. Little Miss Iris never quite woke up.
