From the first pour, this shows off a dark and savory quality that really draws you in with dark red cherries, raspberries, plums, licorice, crushed rocks, violets, roasted herbs, spices, balsamico, and leather notes. The Full bodied feel shows off resolving, medium+ tannins and crisp, medium+ acidity. The feel is showing off some resolution and advancement and the nose is pretty open for business.

Decanted 3 times, letting rest 1 hour between decaying. Then rested 1 hour in serving decanter. Susanne noted no tannins! Tasting other bottle next year(?). Wine Spectator says about 94 points for 2010 vintage. Have to agree. Great! Served with Standing Rib Roast.

A total disappointment. I received this wine as a gift for Xmas 5 years ago and it has been in storage ever since. Retrieved from the wine fridge last night opened and let sit for a few hours. The nose was fruit and leather and that is where it ended. Pouring through a soiree i had a palate of liquid leather. Nothing else. The finish was moderate. I was just looking forward a enjoyable 2010 brunello to have with some grilled hamburgers. I even got the shaft on the burgers as the weather turned and I had to grill them indoors which do not really like doing. The wine was not spoiled maybe an off bottle. I poured it down the sink and opened a 2016 SBR Merlot I had handy.

I decanted 3 hours prior to drinking. It was very good with leg of lamb. The alcohol was well integrated (14.5%) and I wish I had more.
