This was a glorious wine in the many times I tasted it between 2005-2015. Elegant and so typical in definition and balance of the estate. This seemed surprisingly chunky. Not very elegant though still healthy.

So tonight I revisited the 1995 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Crau, and while this wasn't a good situation for taking detailed notes, this wine is just so lovely that I wanted to make at least a brief note of the experience! Cranberries, bright cherries, spices, coffee, and more. This should continue to be gorgeous for at least several more years. [Tasted over more than an hour from the Jancis Robinson glass. Out of magnum. Cigar box, leather, sweet Grenache fruit, green olives; great density on the palate, so fresh and youthful still, impeccable balance and also the length is fantastic. Just amazing wine. 18.5/20
