  • Tasted at the winery; best wine I have ever had from Cline. This wine, with a little air time, would be comfortable in a lineup of Crozes-Hermitage or St. Joseph wines from a warm vintage. Good job Cline, price is right too.

  • Total bacon bomb upon pop n pour. Evolves into smoked meat with dark berries after some air. Smooth from start to finish. Drink now or over the next year or so.

  • Bought earlier in the day at the winery in Carneros and then consumed with dinner. This absolutely requires a good 1-2 hour decanting before it opens up fully. Very dark and opaque in the glass. Has a beautiful, Rhone-like nose of dark berries, cracked pepper and toasted caramel - along with a touch of heat. Full-bodied, rich and quite tannic. This is a big, brooding, highly concentrated wine. Loaded with delicious, mouth-watering plum and blackberry fruit, backed by a moderate acidity. The texture here is akin to liquid velour. The finish is very long and fruity, but dominated by huge, grippy tannins right now. Needs another few years to really come together, though already quite impressive. By far the best wine I've ever had from this producer and a very good value at around $24.
