  Deep garnet red. Tons of spices and sweet spices on the attack of the nose with cinnamon, nutmeg, anise and some earthy notes, smoky and blackberries. Medium and well integrated tannins (6/10) with balanced acidity. Strong scent of black pepper with blue and black berry undertones on the attack of the palate. Medium to medium plus bodied with some herbs, leather, toasty and smoky notes near coming through the long finish. High alcohol but still balanced. Drinking well right now but can go another couple years. Drink till 2020.

  Dark ruby. Deep blueberry and blackberry aromas lead to dark fruit and vanilla flavors. Long finish.

  Decent wine but past it's prime. I wish we would have opened it a year or two ago. Medium length finish ends with over ripe flavors, but was enhanced with spicy French fries and coconut shrimp.
