Nose of tart peach, lemon verbena, toasted coconut, and tropical notes. Medium body, moderate acidity and low tannin. This has a waxiness on the palate that is lovely with a bright acidity quality to balance out the richness. The finish is fantastic. This is great now and should drink well over the next 5+ years.

Bright acidity, structured, sb weediness, lanolin, wax, fairly complex on nose and palate moreson on the later, rich and full bodied, toasty with slight graham cracker influence. Acidity seemed to become more distracting and angular as it warmed. This is developing nicely showing significant secondary development, should have a long life ahead so glad I have two more to track. 4- (out of 5).

A wine that is supremely consistent, now 9 years of age. On nose and palate: a complex amalgam of smoke, dry citrus, tarragon , beautifully woven present oak, quince preserve, roasted buttered almonds, on a full figured , but lean body, bolstered by stony minerals and clean acidity....great balance....and an ability to age further...always a pleasure...alas, my last bottle.

My wine merchant came across a dozen bottles of this at auction! On nose and palate: all the smoke, oak, quince preserve, star fruit and bitter orange notes, on a lean present, backbone of stony minerality you could want, in a wine designed for rich seafood.....faint notes of buttered almond and a darker, ring-gold colour signal maturity....great to revisit.

Christmas Day. Deep golden, good nose and on palate. Was hoping for a bit more complexity - maybe it will come with time.
