Surprisingly good given the vintage. Opened, no need of long decant. Wet leaves, olives, and a bit meaty. Soft tannins, very smooth. Paid 21.75, excellent value.

Light in color, medium bodied and already accessible, the wine is fresh and on the strawberry and red cherry side of the early drinking, style range. The wine was made from a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot.

Union Des Grands Crus de Bordeaux San Francisco. Nose of black cherry and currants, more of the same on the palate, medium body, very good fruit, tasty, long finish, tasted twice same result. $25.
