They always say save the best until last, and certainly this was the best showing of this vintage!
Velvety smooth tannins, a lovely relaxed feel, darker fruited with a touch of leather and a hint of raspberry on the back end. Displays both attributes of Tannat and Cab Sauv in remarkably harmonious measure.
Interestingly, we followed it with a 2014, which was a really quite different animal - it being a lower-acid vintage it wasn't quite as refreshing as the '11 - easier, but less sophisticated. In mitigation, the '11 was served with food, so it was given a head start.

What can I say? I could wax lyrical about this wine all night, particularly about its value for money. But beyond that some key points are that its still very young, quite robust, but has a good mid-term future ahead and pairs beautifully with rare cooked ribeye.
Superb value from an underappreciated producer.

Much more young and tannic than previous bottle. Despite a 3 hour decant, it took until the last glass to really open up and show itself.
Going to squirrel the last bottle away for a few years and see where it gets to.
