Pleasant and tasty, but on lacks the weight and classicism of Tavel's savory herb and sherry-like qualities and so, just good vs. very good, and for $22 it disappoints. At $12 from anywhere else, it would rate a couple points higher.

Much lighter than most Tavels I have had in the past--more of a pale salmon than a crimson. A bit too clod to start, but as it warmed slightly, I picked up some red berries (strawberry and cranberry) and even some citrus. On the palate, this was perfectly fine: some fruit, a bit of depth, and plenty of acid. It might have fallen a bit short on the first two, however. Still Very Good. thedrunkencyclist.com

really excellent wine, so much going on. Nice mineral notes and herbal edge as well as being clean and refreshing.
