Chewy, leathery Nero; not too jammy or sweet. Very good option for drinking from a tumbler with homemade pizza. For my money Gulfi's Cerasualo is better, but then I like the mix of Frappato and Nero. This is still quite good and excellent value.

Purchased on a whim, and to fill out a case discount, having had other wines from Gulfi. Lean, almost green on the nose with leafy shrubbery, in the foreground and reserved fruit in the background. Juicy and acidic with slightly grainy tannins, tart red fruits and woodsy flavor dominate the palate. A fairly persistent finish of cranberry and tree bark. I enjoy it for what it is, a pleasant counterpoint to a number of culinary options. Likely great with a burger. Happy that this bottle seems in good shape, seeing other corked and unimpressed notes. Not certain on the upside from here, I'll likely drink the other bottles sooner than later.

Smells of funky green earth, like its corked. Dissicated earth, like its too old, gone over the hill. Certainly has the structure. Not sure on this one.
