Tasted by ebrumby on 10/23/2009 & rated 90 points: Wonderful aroma, nice balanced taste. (290 views)
Tasted by MrSnooty on 4/19/2009 & rated 90 points: Drinking verry well now. My previous notes apply to this one too. Yummy, fruit-forward Aussie shiraz with hints of blueberries, vanilla and a touch of spice and acidity to balance things out. Medium to full-bodied with a good long finish.
Screwcap. (729 views)
Tasted by billyg on 3/17/2009 & rated 89 points: Blueberry, cherry, raspberry nose. Blueberry and cherry on the attack. Raspberry and vanilla transition. A faint licorice finish. Not as good as two years ago. It may be in slight decline but it is still good. (741 views)
Tasted by Anonymous on 1/3/2009 & rated 89 points: (690 views)
Tasted by Anonymous on 3/15/2008 & rated 91 points: Great wine! Good balance and generous fruit with a medium finish. (1362 views)
Tasted by skagit grapedigger on 1/30/2008 & rated 86 points: Cherry and vanilla on the nose. Light tannins. (1577 views)
Tasted by VinnyB on 1/26/2008: Outstanding value, aromatic bouquet, pleasant full-bodied flavor. Must replenish!! (1584 views)

Tasted by Anonymous on 1/5/2008 & rated 89 points: Taste well, consistant with previus notes. Great wine for the price. I am begining to like it even more now. (1806 views)
Tasted by MrSnooty on 11/25/2007 & rated 89 points: Very good.
Dark inky red, smokey, spicy aroma with hints of ripe cherry and tobacco. Lots of flavour - ripe red and black fruit, smoke, pepper and tobacco, with a tannins evident on the mid-palate and finishing with a bracing acidity. The acidity is unual for Aussie Shiraz and quite refreshing, but a dis-jointed. The finish is quite long and overall this wine is very enjoyable on it's own.
Cork closure. (2039 views)
Tasted by pgm on 11/24/2007 & rated 88 points: Tasty, well-made wine with plum, raspberry compote and a bit of spicy, bitter chocolate. (1889 views)
Tasted by cse on 10/23/2007 & rated 86 points: There's a lot going on here, but the wine is pretty disjointed--intense, flashy, not too heavy, but not in balance either. A let down after the 2002. (1986 views)
Tasted by BCPW on 7/7/2007 & rated 90 points: This is a great wine and value. It is more complex than one woud assueme for the price. I would recomend this to anyone for a "house wine". It apeals to most and pairs well with most food. It is hard to go wrong keeping a case around the house, just to have with those summer get togethers on the deck! (2339 views)
Tasted by RevJavaDude on 6/25/2007 & rated 90 points: CTS DMin Happy Hour; 6/18/2007-6/28/2007 (Atlanta, GA): I really liked this Aussie Shiraz. Inky purple color. Bright nose with blueberry, spice and vanilla. A big mouthful of flavors -- ripe berries, dried cherries, licorace, oak, and hints of fully ripe red peppers. Tannins are bright, but balanced. Drinks very well. (2528 views)
Tasted by Anonymous on 6/12/2007 & rated 88 points: dark ink color, blueberry and currant notes, nice fruits balance and very tasty medium body. This wine drinks well now, this is a good QPR, I will add more as a cellar defender. (2623 views)
Tasted by billyg on 5/20/2007 & rated 91 points: Blueberry pie and vanilla nose. Quite nice. Lots of blueberry up front with some red fruit, vanilla on the mid-palate. Finishes with a peppery/licorice mix, which is also nice. This is a delicate fruit bomb. It drinks like a much more expensive bottle of wine. (2498 views)
Tasted by Johnboy on 11/17/2006 & rated 88 points: Dark purple in color. Nose of vanilla and blueberrries with sweet red fruit too. I didnt get much of a peppery/spice profile as others here mentioned, but found there to be a very slight earthy/meaty quality to it. Otherwise very fruit forward with nice acidity/balance, good medium length finish. Nice wine at a nice price. I love the screw cap too! Im tired of corked/TCA wines. 88 points (2907 views)
Tasted by rumpole on 11/8/2006: Tanzer is "right on" with his review of this good Shiraz. (3081 views)
Tasted by randymac88 on 10/21/2006 & rated 88 points: Solid wine for its price. Consistent with previous bottles. (3229 views)
Tasted by thebonnydooner on 9/3/2006 & rated 89 points: Not quite as intense as the last bottle and a definite step down from the estate tasted two days ago. Juicy with lots of acidity, nice blackberry and cherry nose with lots of black pepper, but missing the extra zing ofthe estate. Estate wine has a lot more going on aromatically as well. For the money though, this is the find of the year. (3290 views)

Tasted by ebrumby on 8/5/2006 & rated 88 points: (2696 views)
Tasted by rumpole on 7/16/2006 & rated 88 points: A pleasant Shiraz. I agree with the last Note, I preferred at a cooler (60-65 F) temperature. (3403 views)
Tasted by thebonnydooner on 6/2/2006 & rated 91 points: I have come to the conclusion recently that the temperature that the wine is tasted at completely alters the perception. This was pulled from my "passive" underground cellar in WA when another wine did not work - the wine was probably was still at 55 degrees or less when tasted and was great. None of the high alcohol characteristics of most SA shiraz, but rather peppery with blueberry and currant on the nose , lovely well balanced palate with lots of spice, pepper, but also really nice balanced currant acidity and a delicious currant and blueberry finish. Really delicious and for $10 downright ridiculous.

I lately tasted Quilceda creek from 2001 and 2000 - the later vintage was served too warm and was not nearly as good as the "lesser" 2000 served at the right temp. (3648 views)
Tasted by cjschlos on 5/9/2006 & rated 91 points: Delicious, I really enjoy both the 2002 and the 2003, for my tastes the 2003 has a bit more oak however both are very tasty with great fruit flavors. These are not tota fruit bombs however, they do have a nice layer of acid which really balances out the fruit. I was disappointed that the 2003 went to a screwtop as I still feel it devalues the wine a bit, however the 2003 is every bit as wonderful as the 2002 (3451 views)

Producer website
Originally established in the 1870's Mount Langi Ghirans reputation is built on vision, quality and passion.
Nestled in the Grampians at the Southern end of the Great Dividing Range, "Langi" is one of Australia's most distinguished wine producers.
King Billi Billi was a well respected Aboriginal chief, and occasional sheep rustler, whom the creek adjacent to Mount Langi Ghiran is named after.
The wine is a fascinating blend of 75% Rhône varietals (Shiraz, Grenache & Mourvèdre) and
25% Bordeaux varieties (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc),
which is then aged for 12 months in older barrels of American and French oak.
The resulting wine has a complex nose with a broad array of fruit.
Billi Billi is made from grower’s fruit, specifically 80 to 100 year old bush vines, and some small selections of estate grown fruit. With a focus to fruit intensity over age ability and complexity, Billi Billi is produced with the drinker in mind – plush texture, fruity Shiraz ready to drink, representing great value for money and having hints of Langi style, making Billi Billi an excellent introduction to Mount Langi Ghiran wines.
