aromas of raw meat, bacon fat, leather and black olives. Full flavors of black cherries, black olives and bit of cinnamon and vanilla. Got much better as the evening wore on. Drank with a porterhouse steak grilled medium rare.
A bit tired, this never really opened up. Decanted and consumed over about 4 hours, it showed basic red fruit, very soft tannins and low acid. I kept waiting for some secondary and tertiary flavors but they never came. If you've got some, it's time to drink them.
