Tasted from a double magnum bottle. Dark, intense red cherry garnet with on the nose ripe plums and fresh cassis along with cherries and chocolate. Full-bodied with on the palate juicy cherries, blackberries, spicy-sweet cedar wood, plums, roasted herbs and a hint of green olives on the long, plush finish. Well, this giant of a bottle has kept the wine quite youthful and it was delightful.

Drank as part of a mini vertical of Yarden Cab, 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008
The 2006 was the most enjoyable, with the 2002 showing very well, fully mature and completly diffent than the 2006 and 2008. The 2008 willbe excellent, and was very good, but still needs time to reach its potential. The 2004 was somewhat dissapointing, clearly the weakest of the group - not yet maure like the 2002, but not great like the 2006 and 2008

A very nice wine, and really good now if you enjoy mature wines. clearly not as good as the 2003 I had a couple of weeks ago, but really nice - clean but nuanced - drink now
