JadotFest 2013 (Harwood Arms, London): Meaty, sweet fruited, nicely decaying. Rich and ripe on the attack. Sweet, richa and lovely on the palate. 90 richness without the pruney over ripeness. Focuses up nicely with air. ****1/2
From a bottle purchased on release, this wine had a deep red center and pale rims. The high intensity nose of black cherries, orange rind, clove, and smoked meat was impressive.
In the mouth, the wine was round and ripe with rounded tannin and solid acidity. This is in its drinking window and should remain there for many years. As usual, 2+ hours of decanting is recommended. A very impressive priemer cru.
