  • Ok. Probably a little long in the tooth. One note. Used part for pot roast, which was fantastic.

  • Corked. No rating. More of a sentimental selection than anything else, this bottle is the last of its kind (at least in our cellar). My wife & I used to drink this stuff back when we first started dating; namely at a place called Bejas Bistro in Fredericksburg, TX that has long since closed. It was bothering me knowing that this bottle was sitting on one of our racks with a small chance of actually being drinkable. Tonight I put it to the test. Fail. But to no one’s surprise. The wine goes down the drain but the memories remain.

  • Tasty with some age. Jam, tart berry, blueberry. Firm tannins. Could age a few years. Value for dollar is fantastic.

  • Many years my wife & stumbled across a restaurant in the Texas Hill Country that served this wine. We both fell in love with it because it encapsulated many of the nuances that we enjoyed: ripe berries, baking spices, and savory earth. Our palates have evolved since then but we still have a special place in ours hearts for this selection. It’s caused us to search intentionally for it, and we have had a hard time tracking it down in stores over the years following our discovery but managed to find a few here and there. Unfortunately this bottle was corked and had to be dumped, but we have another stashed away so we’ll see how it is. We’re definitely past its prime but who knows, maybe we’ll be surprised.

  • Blackberry, green wildflowers, a little mint all ground into cedar in the nose. Less depth in the mouth, without clear purpose in its fruit, terroir influences, or tannins... but drinkable and versatile.
