Smell and taste of apple with honey, peach and some wet rock. There is a guava or tropical note that shows up as the wine gets some air. Drank with chicken, broccoli and red pepper in red curry sauce over rice. There is a touch of astringency in the finish. Goes well with the spicy food and on its own. Quite good. Also, sampled and enjoyed on its own after dinner with some mild crackers.

I love the tropical aspects of this wine. Lots of pineapple and starfruit on the nose with a bit of grapefruit. In the mouth it's a bit too sweet for my liking but I didn't expect a Sauvignon Blanc. In the mouth it starts with citrus and ends with tart apples. Finishes crisp but not too acidic.

The nose is youthful with lots of yeast, green pears, some white flowers, lemons and grass. Tightly knit and comes along as a bit one-dimensional.
Dry on the palate with a medium(+) acidity and medium body. Good intensity with a medium finish. The yeasty pears comes back on the palate with a hint of crushed stones and lemons.
I thought this wine was a bit bland and boring. There are better Vermentinos out there at the same or less price.

As it should be: tangy, refreshing; good with food.
