Red fruit, slightly sour, elegant and minerally, with a silky texture and sufficient remaining structure. Has some complexity, but not a lot of depth. Mature, but should hold up a while longer.

TREBICCHIERI PRE-TASTING, nose of tar, mums, leather, and black cherry fruit, same on the palate, very tasty, big body, needs 3 years to peak and last another 20 years, long, flavorful finish.

Structured, deep, tar and roses all over, more black cherry with red cherry, black-ish fruits rather than red as in the Cerequio; massive, strucured mouth with huge but relatively balanced tannins and long long finish. This is a bruiser, classic super ageable Serralunga Barolo. Wow. Might wait another 5 years.

Great Wines of Italy Tasting 2015 -- Piedmonte (NYC): Chewy and vibrant, with good underlying acidity; bing cherries, roses. Brighter and less nutty than Brunate.
