A bit rustic, but this medium-bodied red offers some wild raspberries, dried herbs, mineral and wet soil. There is plenty to like in this tannic wine; has personality, if little finesse. Best from 2002 through 2007. 3,750 cases made.

London CT II Event (The Hide Bar, London): Nice stuff - deep, meaty nose - quite powerful at first, but then subsides into a more relaxed offering. Deep, almost liquorice like notes on the palate but the mid-palate softens and you have a more typical Pommard. Complex with dark cherries coming through. No rush to drink

This wine is as described in my earlier 2005 note but it has matured to what must be its peak. The fruit especially is complex with candied flavors of cherry and plum. I do not think this wine can get much better.

This wine was served with our Christmas dinner of crown roast pork. The color was a beautiful garnet. The nose was filled with aromas of red and black cherries and gardenias. The taste was chewy and evoked flavors of red and black cherry, anise, wild mushrooms and kirsch. This was a beautiful bottle for a special day.

At first, dark and smoky, earth and mushroom, stemmy. Stolid, as they say about Pommard.
After 2 hours open, finally opened up to show Burg cherry and pine, dried fruit and roasted bird. Tannins dissolving nicely.
Drinking wonderfully now with a bit of air. Will last.
