  • Wonderful richness for Bourgogne, this combines wine from 2009-2011. and is still showing nicely fresh orchard fruit.

  • Once again seems to be deepening more as time marches on - and not in a bad way. Medium intensity gold color now and medium + intensity on the nose. Tropical fruits of lyche and pineapple along with apricot. Secondary sweet vanilla is there, and even some tertiary honey notes perhaps. On the palate is medium + sweet, with medium acidity to balance. Also medium in body and alcohol, and with a fairly intense viscous mouth few. Long finish. A bit like my last tasting note, just more so - in that it reminds me in the mouth of a buttery Cali Chard, but the nose is more subtle and interesting. When I first tried this 4 years ago I was a little disappointed considering the famous producer. Now I am more balanced. A nice and interesting wine that will pair very well with the right dish. Not kicking myself I didn’t load up, but happy that I went for a case when it first was on offer. Certainly an example of how even entry level Bourgogne whites have a long life and need time to show their best.

  • Has moved on some more since I last tried it. Half way between straw and golden in hue. Sweat vanilla and buttery mouth feel. Now drinking almost like a classic Cali Chard, but with a little more finesse. Definitely an easy and approachable Burg white, and thanks to some aging it's is n a very easy to drink place right now. Not sure how much longer it will stay in this position. Maybe worth drinking up in the next year or two.

  • Fine Vines Burgundy Tasting (Vin Chicago - Highland Park IL): Tasting, brief note. Bottle showed some signs of prior leakage, and the wine tasted more tired/ advanced than previous bottles.

  • Orchard fruit throughout with good weight and length for its level. Overall good balance and good amount of nuance for Bourgogne level wine, especially that NV Burgundy oddity.
