Excellent wine that requires some decanting to open up. Should benefit from more time in the bottle. Restrained fruit and tight tannins. Paired well with filet and carmelized onions.

Dark purple with generous fruit aromas. It tastes like it looks and smells - deep, jammy, smooth, and delicious. There is some complexity here that I'm not good enough to discern, but this is clearly a distinctive wine. Best 11 I think I've tasted.

My first go around with this producer. Tried the 2011, 2012 and 2013 vintages at a recent Yankee Spirits tasting. The 2011 was my American WOTN. Nice bright fruit flavors without the "manufactured" over extraction of the warmer vintages. A bit green and stemmy similar to a Washington state Maritage. This to me adds to the balance and ultimately makes it more interesting.
