Deep gold in color. More mineral and flinty than citrusy and that’s not a complaint. That attractive smoky reduction without it being overwhelming, unlike the 2016 X Novo had earlier this year. Med body with med+ acidity leading to a fairly lengthy finish. I’ll admit, I didn’t really understand WS wines until now. They really need a ton of time (or air perhaps). Luckily, a friend gave me this 2013 to try. Glad I have bottles of 2019-2021 but will need to sit on them for a while!
After a day of air, some yellow apple and way more floral notes. Solid minerality maintains throughout. Overall could have used a little more concentration but very good for its price and level.

Drinking really well. Nicely integrated oak. Reductive nose on opening that blossomed into white flowers and apples. Good acidity and a fruit on the palate. A nice, long finish. Very "Burgundian" as far as domenstic Chardonnay goes. Really enjoyed this.

Quenching lemon, light pineapple, stony mineral notes. Blind, you could easily call this cool-year Chassange or Pouilly Fuisse. Very nice.
