Wow what a difference 6 months made. This bottle was so much better than the last from this same vintage. Deep smoky blackberry jam with vanilla and spice notes. Mellow tannins on the finish. Was solid after a 30 minute carafe and stayed good will a big second night glass.

This is a bit one dimensional...there is blackberry on the nose and palette, and a nice somewhat rose floral note but that seems to be it. It has a nice finish and the tannins are tame but it's lacking other great Syrah notes.

Not quite as wonderful as the Clone 174 but still delightful. Momentarily jarring at first, the wine opened up very nicely, delivering ripe fruit followed by a rich, layered finish.

Cherry and spice, balanced acidity and moderate tannin. It all comes together surprisingly well.
