Elegant and light. This is in no sense a "big" wine; it's a harmonious and properly mature Burgundy, low impact but very pleasurable. On first opening it offers the refreshing crisp and crunchy sensation you get from biting into a juicy apple, if you can imagine a Burgundy flavoured apple. After a couple of hours it fills out, but the tannins are fully resolved and the acidity always underpins the fruit. Restrained pleasure. Vg+
