Incredibly delicious! Inky and smooth with blackberry nose and perfectly balanced tannins. Stil vibrant and young. Jammy palate and long finish rounds out a wonderful experience. Can keep on going at least 5 more years!

NobleRottersSydney - 2010 & prior (Fix, St James, Sydney): {cork, 14.5%} [DavidM] From this point in the dinner the wines took a distinct turn to the bigger. This has a big, developing nose mostly of blackberry jam, not over-oaked. On the palate it turns more to raisins and prunes, and the alcohol becomes obvious too. Medium weight, but the presence sits towards the tip of the tongue and the fading structure manifests most in the warm, patchy and only short/medium length finish. Not quite convincing.

There is nothing to add to previous TN’s. It was an absolute bargain when purchased 16 years ago. So full of dark fruits, no hint of any tannins and the most amazing nose. It won’t get any better. Must be the right temperature or I’m sure it will taste “flabby”, we had it at 18c perfect for us. I will drink my last 2 bottles over the next 12 months.

A massively fruit driven wine with a wow effect. Dark color, very sweet blackberry nose. Superextracted, superripe dark red fruit. A bit of marmalade. Silky finish. Dominant. Wouldn‘t keep it too long…

Served cellar cool on a warm night. Lovely stuff, tons of black fruit, liquorice, spices, long finish. On this showing this will go another 5 years, contrary to my last note.
