Decanted. Now 1.5h later. Deep just ripe blackberries and mild blueberries on the nose w hints of vanilla, herbs, and green peppers. Ripe, dense blackberries on palate, with herbs, minerals and prominent tannins. Nice weight with good acids. Nothing overblown. Drinking nicely but still young. If I had more bottles, would open next bottle in 5 and 10 years from now.

A bit sour and v meet tannic at this point. I let it breath for an hour or two and the dryness abated by there wasn’t much development of flavour. If you are going to drink this, it need food. Fatty, meaty food. But on its own it’s a bit unpleasant. Or at least not pleasant enough.

Decanted for 1.5h. A: Deep dark berries with lifted acids, forest earth, green leaves, dark dark chocolate. P: Black cherries/blackberries, earth, rocks, tannins, herbs. Not much of a green pepper component. Nice depth. F: Palate follows, a bit of green pepper on finish and tannins. Really good depth, acid and finish. Really young though. With the tannins, I think this can last and improve for another 10 yrs or more.

Dark, dense wine with aromas of plum and green pepper that allow dusty soil and black licorice to poke through. It's quite big and dense on the palate too, very modern in style and packs some booze. Still, great acidity and depth make this supremely satisfying on many levels.
