This was definitely past its best but still drinking reasonably. Was bigger and richer than I expected. Was not showing much tertiary notes given its age - but just seemed to be slowly falling apart.

2016 Sella Ronda Ski Trip; 1/21/2016-1/24/2016 (Alta Badia, Italy): From the impecable cellar of La Stua de Michil, Corvara. Purchased most likely on release. Well aged, brownish with a touch of an oxidised feeling, not a flawed wine but not a perfect wine. Delicate and definitely past its peak by a decade but still an enjoyable classic style wine. Be careful on the source as this would Beverly prone to die off. Will not rate as we did have a lot of discussion among us if this was a fit and proper sample or not or are there any left that are fit and proper at this age given the perfect cellaring this bottle has had...

We had no expectations for this lousy vintage but the wine turned out to be better than anyone anticipated, naturally has its limitations. People tell me the -85 is a totally different story...
