Pop and pour. In the glass, cloudy dark red. On the nose, crushed dark fruit, plums, and a touch of spice. On the palate, skirting fruit bomb status, with a bit of forest floor and damp wood as the last bulwark. FWIW, this doesn't really read as an overblown RRV to me, if only because the cola note is absent here and the spice notes are secondary. If you love big pinots, this is for you, although the QPR is questionable at best.

A really big pinot with good balance and restraint. Moderate amounts of spice with a definite cinnamon note. I think this is a really well made Pinot which, if tasted blind, you would swear is a bigger and deeper red. I think some of the zinfandel's I have had are less spice filled.
Starts with an aromatic nose of forest floor, while on the pallete it is more cherry, blueberry, and mushroom. The finish begins with mushroom and continues through a return of cherry fruit. Lingering flavors which jump around with funk, and fruit. Bravo !

Really enjoyed this first Boar's View from it's first vintage. Delicious dark red cherries and spice notes on the open nose and silky palate with a delectable structure and long finish.

Might be past peak. Dried leaves, twigs, black tea now dominant.

Black cherry, raspberry and cinnamon on the nose and palate. Medium finish with just the right amount of spice. Drinking so nicely.
