  Upon opening it floods the palate with explosive tropical punch followed by a tight finish. Thirty minutes later it is balanced and lush on the front and giving but lean in the middle, with a layered and lingering finish. Good stuff. Mature like it's age indicates, but none of the fat aged oak flavors you can encounter with a bottle of California Chardonnay of this age.
