Lovely nose of eucalyptus-minty notes, light leather, faint dark berry notes; very elegant on the palate, slightly sour/high acidity at first but mellowed a bit after 20 minutes and was sailing; resolved tannins, aged like an old Bordeaux, very nice with the tartar as well as the rib-eye. Musso & Franks Eric B-day.

Heitz Martha's vertical 74-77 with an absolutely CURSED line up of chardonnay. (Major Domo): A good but not great wine, pretty shy in the beginning after a double decant. About 4 hours in, it started to develop more body on the palate with dry figs and dark cherries, the classic mint is still on the nose but not as powerful as the last bottle I had. Nice drink but not the best representation.

Super fresh and delicious! This was drinking great. Really nice example of old Heitz, so youthful, silky, ripe and clean.

Absolutely singing, this had the hallmark Martha eucalyptus notes, perfectly mature with amazing balance and depth. Stunning
