Shared it with the friend I discovered it with. As amazing as always, and the wine of the night. Beating out Mayacamas 2006 cab (arguably an entirely different wine) and several other close contenders.

Still as amazing as when I discovered it in 2016. Round and luscious, with soft tannins up front, dark fruit in the middle and a lingering black tea finish.

Single blind tasting Dark ruby color, presumably filtered Medium + aromatics with some oak. Dark fruits with secondary notes of ash. Medium + palate with medium + tannins and medium acidity. Initially sweet darker red fruits that over the course of the tasting developed a raisin quality with some blue fruit notes. Finish was medium in length, but overly ripe.

Medium purple color with mild clearing at rim - appears unfiltered Medium plus aromas of blue/black fruit and dark plums with some smoke/ash which developed after a period of time - well integrated oak aromas - a little VA on opening as well Medium palate at first which expanded over the course of 1-2 hours - primarily ripe/sweet and only slightly raisinated red and black fruit Medium plus well integrated tannins and medium plus acidity with medium length Drinking very well presently - don't see much reason to hold much longer
