  Clear, Medium+ concentration ruby with a garnet rim. Heavy tearing.
  Nose: Clean, Moderate + intensity. Developing with notes of blackberry, raspberry, and dk plum. Sage, black pepper, violet, forest floor, mushroom, and leather on the nose. Vanilla on the nose.
  Palate: Dry. Dried blackberry and dk plum more pronounced than on the nose. Sage, black pepper, forest floor, mushroom, dried flowers and vanilla. Medium tannin, med + acid, high alcohol, medium+ body. Round, fruit forward but balanced, medium finish, medium+ complexity.
  
  Nice wine for the price. Relatively complex. Toward the end of its life. Lots of tertiary elements and lost some of its structure after being open for about 2 hours.

  Excellent example of a Napa zin. Fruity but still has the dirt and grit of the valley in each sip. We had this with some hamburgers and potatoes. A low-brow meal with a high-brow wine. It was a fantastic pairing!
