First wine of my 2 week holiday, so have to start proper! @ Victor's Fine Dining by Christian Bau ***. AP nr. 2 5 83 154 08 14 Delicious canned peaches, well balanced acidity and worked very well with the amazing dishes of this super chef!

Tasted blind. Fairly deep gold; on initial whiff I thought this was gewurz, but more apple Riesling with time Fairly sweet and dense, contrary to notes below, I thought this was closer to Auslese, and 15 years old. Prickly acidity which faded pretty quickly. Better as a sipping aperitif rather than with dinner

Light lemon-yellow; aromatic nose with peach, pear, mineral spritz, light petrol; palate is light bodied, low alcohol, high acid, moderate sweetness well balanced with the acidity, white fruits, but fades a tad through the midpalate; finish is medium-long and fresh. This is a very nice food wine and is more kabinett than spatlese, youthful, good balance. Nice wine. 90

Petrol and ripe orange peach (agree with canned peaches below)! This one has a good bit of RS remaining. Good complexity and length. Nice wine

Not much sweeter than Kabinett, more generous tropical, ripe fruit notes, finer acidity, rounder. 89-90+
