Leo's Blind Tasting Group - June '15 edition (Amali, NYC): Definitely the most polarizing wine of the flight. Very savoury, with burnished, honeyed and smoky elements dominating, and the citrus and pear fruit beneath coming across rather understated and quiet in contrast to the more mature, developed notes. Not for everyone, but I liked this a lot.

Bright yellow orchard fruits and spice are rounded out by a lemon cream flavor, very flamboyant and forward. There is a momentary surge of acidity on entry that is balanced out in the mid palate and finish by a creamy richness. For all its richness the mouthfeel is graceful and elegant. The integration of the flavors on the palate is exceptional and this really took off with air. Excellent – Drink now

The same bottle that I had a couple of Coravined pours from last week. If anything, it's showing a touch better now - lots of complexity, with ripe peach, apple and citrus fruit framed by mature smoky, savoury, and lemon cream notes, all coming together very seamlessly on a lightweight palate with remarkable finesse and length.

Wines @ John's (West Hartford, CT): Lively, airy and lifted. Showing development, but some upside still seems probable. Wonderful, palate-scraping acidity. A bit of spritz (from the Coravin?) added freshness. Excellent length.

LBTG blind - very very brief notes (Amali, NYC): Muted and fading (or, in tough company). My worst in flight and 5th of first six. I dont think this showed well at all tonight. 85?
